Workshop: Infrared Photography Post-processing with Silvana Della Camera

The event was held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

So, you dipped your toes into the infrared dimension. Now you have a bunch of infrared images. Now what?

Come learn how to process these funky raw infrared images. You will learn the post processing workflow for pulling amazing images out of infrared raw files.

What to bring:

Laptop with PS / LR

Please be sure to install the native processing software for your camera. This is necessary for setting proper white balance before editing in PS/LR. If you're not sure which, software you need, please contact me and I can help you determine which it is.

Download your IR raw files to a folder.

Bring a power strip if you have one.

If we have decent weather, we can take about ½ hour to shoot before we get into processing. We can go over setting the WB in camera and setting proper exposure.

  • Camera with a wide telephoto lens (or an infra-red converted camera of any IR wavelength

  • 720 nm IR filter to fit the lens you are using for the workshop and a tripod (if using a regular camera and not a converted one).

  • Also bring your card reader to download these to your computer.
