The event was held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Location: The Center at Westwoods, Meditation Hall, 590 Gay Street, Westwood, MA, 02090. (Gay Street connects Route 109 to Route 1A.)
Limit: 8 people
Signup: Starts September 28th. Please bring a check and give it to Ed Gooltz.
This will be a hands-on workshop, so please bring your camera equipment and tripod. We will start with a short meditation. Through photo exercises, we will practice "seeing" more mindfully before taking a photograph on the grounds of the Center. Our goal is to take time to really look at what is around us rather than just shooting away. This will be a chance to slow down and perhaps see something special we might otherwise have missed. We will also discuss the art of writing a Photoku, a Haiku poem to go with your photograph.
We will meet at the Center at Westwoods in Westwood in the Meditation Hall. There is a small sign at the entrance to the driveway (on the left side of the street if you are coming from Route 109 in Westwood). Follow the driveway around to the right (one-way). The Meditation Hall is the second building on the right with tall windows. Park in spaces in front or to the right of the main building, or down past the Meditation Hall. Please take your shoes off after you enter the Hall. Bring a snack if you want. Water bottles will be provided.
